Buying, Price & Payment
How much does a restored British telephone box cost?
A fully restored original K6 telephone box typically costs around €5,100. The final price depends on transport and delivery location.
How much does delivery to Germany cost?
Delivery costs depend on the destination and transport route, but it is usually about €900. Each quote is prepared individually because transport costs from the UK can vary.
How does payment work?
A deposit of €1,000 or £850 is required when ordering. The remaining balance is due shortly before delivery. Payment in up to 4 monthly instalments is also possible.
Do you charge VAT?
As a small business, VAT is not charged, and is not shown separately on the invoice.
How long is a quotation valid?
Because supplier and transport costs can change, quotations are usually valid for a limited time of 4 weeks only.
Delivery & Installation
How long does restoration and delivery take?
A restored telephone box usually takes around 3 months for restoration, plus about 8 to 12 days, or up to 4 weeks for faraway countries, for delivery.
How is the telephone box delivered?
The telephone box is packed in a strong custom-made wooden crate for safe transport. Delivery is usually made to the curbside, but the customer has to unload themselves.
Do I need equipment for unloading?
Yes. The customer must arrange unloading at destination. A forklift, tractor or similar lifting equipment is usually required, because the lorry tail lift cannot be used for unloading a telephone box.
Do I need a foundation?
A solid and level base is recommended. In most cases, a foundation of at least 100 × 100 cm and around 20 cm thickness is suitable.
Do you install the telephone box?
No. The customer is responsible for unloading, positioning and installation.

What are the dimensions and weight of a K6 telephone box?
The original K6 telephone box is 251 cm high, with a footprint of 91 × 91 cm, and weighs 750 kg.
What are the transport crate dimensions?
The crate for a K6 telephone box is usually around 270 × 120 × 120 cm. The total transport weight is about 790 kg.
What is the name of the colour of an original British telephone box?
The traditional colour is called Currant Red. The colour codes are: British Standard BS 381C No. 539, and RAL 539.
Is safety glass included?
Yes. Restored telephone boxes include toughened clear safety glass.
Is lighting included?
No. Telephone boxes are normally delivered empty inside. Lighting is available as an extra and is supplied together with heat protection and fitted before delivery.
Is a telephone included inside?
No. The telephone box is normally delivered empty. On request, a non-working original CT telephone can be supplied for an additional €250.

Which models do you offer?
The standard model is the original K6 telephone box. Other models such as K8 or KX100 may be available on request.
Do you offer unrestored telephone boxes?
Yes. Unrestored project boxes are sometimes available for customers looking for a lower-cost option.
Can I choose a different colour?
Yes. A custom colour is possible for an additional charge.
Do you offer K2 telephone boxes?
The K2 is a rare historical British telephone box and is larger and heavier than the K6. It may be mentioned as part of telephone box history, but the standard offer focuses on the K6.

Are your telephone boxes original?
Yes. The telephone boxes are original British cast-iron telephone boxes sourced in England.
Where are the telephone boxes restored?
They are restored in England by specialist restoration partners.
What is included in the restoration?
Restoration usually includes dismantling, sandblasting, priming, repainting in Currant Red, replacement signs where needed, new hinges, leather door straps, safety glass, crown detail and a new wooden door fitted into the original cast-iron frame.
Can a telephone box be used for other purposes?
Yes. Many customers use telephone boxes as decorative garden features, display pieces or for individual design projects. The interior is left empty so customers can fit it out as they wish.
Do you offer rental?
No. Telephone boxes are offered for sale only. Rental or leasing is not available.
